A book about the 100-year anniversary of Svoge Chocolate Factory, the biggest one in Bulgaria. It has 3 sections for the three historical periods it spans over – beginning of 20th century until WWII, Socialist period and the time after 1989. The text is written by the factory team. The book presents a collection of archive photos from the factory’s history, from personal archives, from state archives, company photos showing the history of Bulgaria’s industrial development in the past century and postcards. A significant section of it are the photos and the scans of the portfolio of the factory from the beginning of the 20th century up until 2024, including boxes, chocolate bars, special edition chocolates, tins etc.
The book was completed together with Tihomir Stoyanov @visualarchive.bg who collected and scanned the visual material.
The book was created on the occation of the anniverssary and was a company gift. Copies of it can be seen in the National Library in Sofia, the archive of the Svoge Chocolate Factory and Synthesis gallery’s photobook collection.
